St.Amant

St.Amant is a comprehensive resource for Manitobans with developmental disabilities, and autism. We are a not-for-profit organization that offers a wide range of programs and services to support individuals and their families.

St.Amant has a vibrant volunteer program where people of all ages come together to support people with developmental disabilities and build lasting friendships. St.Amant welcomes anyone 12 years and older to volunteer in our organization, and families with younger children can volunteer together.

The range of volunteer opportunities is vast. Some examples include supporting virtual activities, being a pen pal, helping with administrative tasks and supporting people to swim, bike and do the things they love. The sky is the limit for our volunteer community. No matter where you volunteer within the organization, you are making a difference in the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism and having fun!

Volunteer opportunities are available during the day, evenings and weekends.

The residents of Villa Aulneau and Résidence Despins have a wide array of interests, and we’re looking for people like you to help co-create living environments where life is good.

From enjoying conversations and walks to sharing in hobbies and pastimes, as a volunteer, there is a wide range of opportunities for you. No matter where you volunteer within the organization, you add meaning and joy to the lives of the people who live and work here. Whether you enjoy connecting directly with residents or prefer to be behind the scene supporting staff, we believe there is an opportunity for you.

St. Boniface Hospital

St. Boniface Hospital mission focuses on quality patient care, education and research for the improvement of patient care. It is accomplished through teamwork, innovation, strong financial management and continual striving for compassionate care to those in need.

The second largest hospital in Manitoba, it provides community outreach programs, ambulatory care programs and inpatient services. The Hospital has demonstrated provincial leadership and significant expertise in the areas of cardiac sciences, emergency medicine, gastrointestinal disease, neurosciences, oncology, palliative care, perinatal care, geriatric medicine, family medicine.

St. Boniface employs 3,500 staff in a variety of support capacities. In addition, some 340 doctors have admitting privileges at SBH.

Youville St. Vital Community Health Centre

Youville St. Vital Community Health Centre is a place where people are heard and can work in their health concerns with a knowledgeable team of health professionals. Youville Centre believe that health includes the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. Factors such as shelter, education, food and income impact on your health. Whether the person need health care, wellness education, or counselling and support, Youville Centre can help all individual to become a healthier person.

The goal of Youville’s Volunteer program is to connect community members with opportunities to enrich the programs, services and client experiences at Youville Centre. Whether on the front lines or working behind the scenes, volunteer can help build a stronger, healthier St. Vital.
